An abstract landscape painting with blue, green, and yellow brushstrokes. The words "Landscape Portraits" are overlaid on the image.

The human form, typically absent in my work, finds purchase in the Landscape Portraits. There’s a good chance we’ve all met someone so deeply connected to the place they live that they seem almost a part of it. I imagine individuals I’ve encountered in particular landscapes as an element of that landscape—place, person, and paint bound together.
